For most visitors: rideshare for Knoxville, rental car for the Smokies, hotel shuttle when your hotel provides one.
Reserve ahead for off-peak arrivals when possible; the airport specifically warns that Uber/Lyft availability can be limited during off-peak hours.

Hotel shuttles
North side of the terminal, accessible from baggage claim. Shuttle hours vary by hotel, so coordinate directly before arrival.
Rental cars
On-airport counters are downstairs near baggage claim. A car is often the simplest choice for Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the Great Smoky Mountains.
Does TYS have an airport shuttle to downtown Knoxville?
No general off-property airport shuttle is operated by TYS. Use rideshare, taxi/charter, a participating hotel shuttle or a rental car.
